What time do you set your clock?

From time to time, I like to change the time I set my clock’s alarm to go off in the morning. Often it is changing a matter of minutes, like from 8:00 to 8:03. I do this so that I don’t get used to switching off my alarm at a set time, and it’s always a little ‘surprise’ when the alarm goes off!

We all have a clock set inside us: an invisible pacemaker placed in our body’s design by our Creator God. When does the alarm go off? When our physical bodies change, when we fall ill, when parts of our bodies no longer work as they used to…but the loudest alarm seems to be when we give up the ghost and breathe our last breath. But does this mean it’s the end? No, for death is only an alarm that goes off at a set time, but our clocks go on forever. For God has put eternity in [our] hearts” (Ecclesiasties 3:11). Death is not an annihilation, but a gateway to either an eternity with God or one without Him. And right now, we all have a choice as to which eternity we will have; a choice to set our clocks.

  1. Came across a funny quote in a book which I am reading now.

“I intend to live forever. So far, so good.” – Steve Wright

Thought it was hilariously relevant to this post!
